How to be a Vlogger?

            People just want to find ways to earn money from their homes and being a Vlogger is one of the ways to earn from home. Do you own an HD camera? Do you have the guts to take videos and entertaining people online? Are you capable of editing your videos to make your content interesting? Then you can be a Vlogger!

             Vlogging has been a trend for over a decade and YouTube helped increase the interest of people to earning money by making video contents. I am currently planning of making Vlog to earn more aside from my blog sites and from my research I am sharing you what I learned on how to be a vlogger and how to earn money from it.

EQUIPMENT

            You want to start investing on equipment, for starters you can use your phone to take videos and make content, instead of just taking videos you can use applications to capture beautiful videos for your vlog. Famous Vloggers do not just own one video camera but has at least 2 cameras, a lot of spare batteries and memory cards. Computer is also essential since you will need to edit your content using Adobe premier or other video editing softwares. Lastly, internet connection to upload your videos.

NICHE

            What content do you want in your Vlog? You cannot just Vlog anything that you want in your channel. Think of your video as a Cable channel, example, Discovery Channel's videos are about Nature, Animals and wondrous places on Earth and does not have action movies similar to HBO. While HBO and Star Movies only have movies and not documentaries or food cooking.

            Think of what do you LOVE in doing. Most content with lots of viewers are about Pranks, Travel, Unboxing, MotoVlog, Gadget Review, Reaction Videos and a lot more. Tip: Your Channel Name should also Fit your Niche. Do not use name MotoVlog is your Channel is about Tech reviews or including the name Kicks if your content is not about Shoes.

How can I earn money?

            Where do you want to upload your content? There are a lot of platform to choose from on uploading the content but as of my writing there are only two sites where there are a lot of people viewing videos and more viewers means more money.

YouTube

          You can upload your videos in YouTube and according to Google Support there are requirements to start monetizing your content. Check list below.

Minimum eligibility requirements to join

1. Follow all the YouTube monetization policies.
   • The YouTube monetization policies are a collection of policies that allow you to monetize on YouTube. If you're a YouTube partner, your agreement including the YouTube partner program policies require compliance with these monetization policies in order to potentially earn money on YouTube.
2. Live in a country or region where the YouTube Partner Program is available.
3. Have more than 4,000 valid public watch hours in the last 12 months.
4. Have more than 1,000 subscribers.
5. Have a linked AdSense account.

Facebook

        Start by creating a fan page and according to Facebook there are requirements to start monetizing your page. Check list below.

1. You must pass and remain compliant with Facebook's Partner Monetization Policies.
2. You have to publish from a Page (not a profile) with at least 10,000 followers.
3. You must generate at least 30,000 1-minute views on videos that are at least 3 minutes long in the last 60 days.
4. You must be at least 18 years old.
5. You must live in a country eligible for in-stream ads.

That's not it, now that you have created your own page you need to follow this checklist in order to start earning money.
